"Stelena" fans will be very happy in the next all-new episode of "Vampire Dairies" as Elena and Stefan will begin to share strange dreams about being intimate with one another. Unfortunately, the episode won't air until April 17.
A promo for the upcoming installment, "Resident Evil," shows that Stefan and Elena will have vision-type dreams where they share romantic moments together and imagine what life would be like if they stayed together and had children. In one clip, Elena envisions herself flirting with Stefan while their kids play in the background. In another scene, the two share a hot and steamy makeout session on the kitchen counter.
However, "Stelena" fans shouldn't get their hopes up too high anticipating that the two will get back together. According to actor Paul Westley, their fantasy-like romance won't be "permanent."
"Those two are like perpetually a pendulum that swings. There's really no algorithm," sad Wesley, who plays Stefan, to E! News. "I don't think anything that happens is permanent, so the answer to that question is that I'm sure they'll work it out in the end."
He also told TVLine that that Stefan has "made peace" with Damon and Elena being friends with benefits, but "there are always residual feelings with anyone that you're ever with romantically."
As we get closer to the season of finale of TVD, executive producer Julie Plec warns fans that, "There are going to be a lot of goodbyes as we realize the other side is disintegrating. Not everybody is going to survive that. We're going to have to say goodbye to some characters that we've grown to love over the years. That's what we'll see when we get to the finale."
According to WetPaint, this could be a hint that Tyler might be killed off the show based on the synopsis for Episode 19, which states that Tyler will be "forced to play a dangerous part" in a Traveler ritual. WetPaint also points out that Tyler's character has been getting less attention on TVD and that his death would not cripple the show since he's not a prominent main character. Plus, he is not romantically engaged with anyone, so he wouldn't be terribly missed.
"The Vampire Diaries" S5E17, "Resident Evil," airs on the CW on Thursday, April 17 at 8 p.m. EDT.
