The team headed to Afghanistan to save Kensi on the latest episode of "NCIS: Los Angeles."
In "Spoils of War," the team learns that there is no "White Ghost."
Hetty (Linda Hunt) explains to the team that what Jack told Kensi (Daniela Ruah) is true: his wife died in a drone attack, but the CIA forced him to become an asset. Yet, because of his knowledge, the CIA wants him dead. Hetty says she sent Kensi because she knew Kensi would not be able to kill him.
The team then heads to Afghanistan, but Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) is separated from the team due to his feelings for Kensi.
The others find a photo of Kensi in which she appears to be dead, which causes Deeks to become extremely emotional.
He becomes irate at a suspect, but eventually learns through his translator that the man's son is possibly a high-ranking Taliban member.
Meanwhile, Callen (Chris O'Donnell) Sam (LL Cool J) and Granger (Miguel Ferrer) track a courier, and come to the cave where Kensi and Jack had been. They find a computer with photos showing them both dead, with their throats slit. Callen doesn't buy it, and they keep moving.
They find Sabatino, who has been shot.
Callen then uses a translator to question a young girl who has been shooting at them. They take the girl with them, as the girl is most likely being used by the Taliban.
They finally encounter the Taliban, so Callen sends the girl ahead with money to offer a trade for the American prisoners.
The Taliban doesn't accept the deal and begins shooting at them. They shoot back until a helicopter arrives with the father of one of the Taliban members so they can exchange prisoners. The man is the person Deeks had been questioning.
They do the exchange, and Callen takes the girl with them to save her from the Taliban. Afterwards, Granger orders an air strike.
On the next episode, "Windfall," "When Nell joins Deeks in the field to investigate a former marine being tracked by Al Qadea for embezzling Iraqi money, Eric is assigned a new Ops partner."
Watch the promo below for "Windfall," which airs Tuesday, April 8 at 9 p.m. EDT on CBS.
