The first word on Maripily Rivera's Twitter description is mother, a position she's obviously very proud of.

So upon learning that her son has chosen to live with his father instead of her, it's understandable that she'd be crushed. The Puerto Rican model took to her personal Facebook page to share her sorrow, according to TV Y Novelas.

"Yesterday life struck me hard on my weak side...," she started. "I learned that children are borrowed in the world."

She went on to describe how she has raised her son as a single mother. "As a mother, I had to do my job until now, raising him, giving the best education and loving my son..."

She continued to explain that she had played her part in making him a noble man that's educated and intelligent. Despite her sadness, she said that the sacrifices she has made for her son are not in vain.

"I learned how to be mom and dad at the same time, without caring about anything else in the world. Well, my only goal was to have you advance in life," she said.

She also added that she's not sorry for the time she has spent with her son, but she was caught off guard.

"I never thought that at any moment he would say: 'Mom, I want to go live with dad now," she said. TV Y Novelas reported that this comes around the same time that she is planning on getting married, but it didn't distinctly say if her wedding was the real reason he has chosen to live with his father.

All Rivera is hoping is that this is a bad dream.
