Legend of Zelda always features heavily into Super Smash Bros., but the latest version of the game will pack in more than ever from the franchise.
On Miiverse, game director Masahiro Sakurai gave a small peek into what the new game will look like.
"Pic of the day," he said. "The Gust Bellows can blow opponents away with its powerful wind blasts. When someone drops it, though, the gusts run wild! Out of the new items, more than a few will be from The Legend of Zelda series. We'll take the most interesting and straightforward ones and reformulate to match the Smash Bros. world."
In the past, Heart Container, Bunny Hood and Deku Nut were the Zelda items featured.
Sakurai has teased other aspects of the game, such as a picture that makes it appear as though it's a side-scrolling game. Sakurai assures that it's just a stage.
He has shared one picture nearly every day for more than a month.
In late March, he said, "Never bully Cuccos. Seriously, attacking them is out of the question! This has always been a cardinal rule of The Legend of Zelda series."
There will be differences between the Wii U and 3DS versions, reported Latin Times.
The characters in the 3DS version will be more visible from afar because of black outlines and flatter shading, and it will draw from other handheld games. The Wii U version will be based on stages featured on the Wii, GameCube and other Nintendo 64 versions. Cross-platform gameplay will not be available.
