Another day, another "50 Shades of Grey" casting rumor. In the absence of any confirmation from E. L. James or Universal Studios as to who will play the roles of Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey, fans are left to their own devices, and that can become dangerous. They dig and scrounge for any inkling of a clue. Sometimes their speculations are poorly reinforced and are nothing but mere rambles, sometimes they're blown out of proportion, and sometimes they're spot on. Regardless, it keeps the "50 Shades of Grey" wheel turning, and in the end, it's all harmless. Why not daydream about who could take on the seductive, kinky roles?

Certain actors that appear in more daydreams than other continually rack up the "50 Shades" points day in and day out. Several of these big timers include Matt Bomer, Henry Cavill, Alexis Bledel and Emilia Clarke, all of whom are widely speculated by adorning fans to appear in the sultry film, but it now looks as though James and Universal may be looking elsewhere.

Universal announced that they are seeking male and female actors for the lead roles, obviously, but here's the catch: the casting director put out a casting call to the general public in hope of finding the perfect Christian and Anastasia. Do you think you have what it takes to contend with the likes of Bomer or Bledel? Does the sun shine on the dark side of the moon?

Now that you're done daydreaming, let's get down to brass tax. James recently made a trip back to LA, leading fans to believe that she could be in town to sift through Christian contenders. "At LAX... looking forward to going home and seeing @noghar," the author posted on her Twitter account. And as obsessive fans do, they dug deeper.

As it turns out, longtime Christian contender Jessie Pavelka was also in LA, the evidence deriving from a recent tweet that read, "Leaving LA. A productive and fun trip. I shall see you again soon."

"50 Shades of Grey" hits theaters in less than a year and filming is set to begin in the fall. Obviously a decision is drawing near. It better be. So help us all, it better be.

Do you think Pavelka would make the perfect Christian Grey?
