Miami Heat superstars Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, and Chris Bosh could hit free agency this summer, but reports indicated on Tuesday that they have yet to make decisions about whether or not to opt out of their current deals.
Wade told ESPN that they are not yet thinking about their free agency plans at this point of the season, saying that they are focused on their chase for a third-straight title.
The 32-year-old superstar added that he is planning to sit down with James and Bosh after this summer to discuss their future, similar to what they did before they decided to team up in Miami in 2010.
"When the season is over, and whatever happens, then I will sit down and I will sit down with Chris and I will sit down with Bron and I will sit down and make the best decision for myself and my family," Wade said.
Wade also pointed out that he is not yet worrying about his future in Miami because he is confident that he can still win with the Heat in the next several seasons, hinting that he will only think about leaving if the team is not a title contender anymore.
"I'm at a position where I don't really have to worry about it," Wade said on his possible free agency. "I've been with the same organization for now 11 years. We've won multiple championships, so it's no reason where I need to think about that yet. I'm not at a point where we are a bad team and I need to think about the future."
Both James and Bosh recently hinted that they are leaning towards staying in Miami next season despite having options to leave in this summer or in 2015.
It is also unclear at this point whether or not the Heat will ask their "Big Three" to opt out of their respective deals and sign a longer contract but for less money. Wade, James, and Bosh all took significant pay cuts in 2010 to give the Heat room to build a title-contending team.
