Saturday was the 2014 Kids' Choice Awards, and plenty of people, including Mark Wahlberg, Austin Mahone and Kaley Cuoco, were slimed.

There was also a bit of drama.

Jennette McCurdy, of Sam & Cat, opted to skip the event because of the way Nickelodeon treated her. She was very vague about the situation but assured it had nothing to do with her near naked selfie scandal. Instead, she hinted that she might sort of also be upset at Ariana Grande, who seemed to not be in happy spirits despite winning big at the award show.

As you can see, the orange carpet can sometimes be overshadowed by the event. (Did you see the ring that Selena Gomez was wearing?) And it's a shame because this is one of the most laid-back red carpets to exist, but sometimes, people take that as an invitation to be lazy. Still, there were plenty who managed to balance fun and stylish. So we give you the best and worst dressed list at the 2014 Kids' Choice Awards:

Worst: Just no, Greg Cipes. He's basically wearing a blanket on the red carpet. There's just too much going on. If he had chosen the same shirt and paired it with dark pants or even jeans, as well as some dressier shoes, he would have had something fun and funky.

Best: Laura Marano ended up in one of the most popular trends of the night: crop tops. But everything about this look is cute. She wore plenty of neutrals, and added a bit of color with her oxblood clutch. Her strappy heels also had a similar pattern shown on the skirt, but they didn't fight each other.

Worst: First and foremost, Leigh-Allyn Baker is in great shape, and the dress does a good job of highlighting that. But she also looks older than she needs to. The bodycon bandage dress was so popular a few years ago, and there was definitely a better choice for the funny lady. Her date and TV daughter, Mia Talerico, is adorable, though.

Best: Here's a great way to be casual, but not sloppy, courtesy of Acacia Brinley. She's also in the orange carpet's it-girl trend, showing just a sliver of skin. And she paired her long skirt with Chucks. She looks fun, comfortable and cute.

Worst: Actress Dylan Gelula got off to a great start with that top, but something about the way the short's are hemmed or the chunky '90s shoes really take the look one step back. But her casual hair and minimal makeup prove that she can definitely rock casual styles.

Best: Claudia Lee was in a refreshingly age-appropriate getup. The loose-fitting dress was a neutral color, but it was well accessorized. She went for some fun silver accessories to finish the look.

Worst: Todrick Hall is wearing teddy bear shoes, leather pants, and a letterman's jacket with patterned sleeves. It's just too cartoonish.

Best: Lea Michele didn't opt for her typical siren looks. This is flirty and sweet, and even the bright lipstick is at home here. Everything about this look is out of her norm.
