A Powerball ticket purchased at the Valero convenience store at 901 Bunker Hill Road in West Houston won $2 million during last Saturday night's Powerball drawing. The winning Powerball ticket was able to match five of the six numbers ultimately missing the jackpot.

The winning numbers for last Saturday night's Powerball drawing were 21, 24, 36, 42, 45 and the Powerball 15. Had the winning ticket matched all six numbers on the Powerball drawing, it would have won $300 million.

Nevertheless, the $2 million win was as close as it can get to the jackpot. A report says that the ticket was sold with the "power play" option - doubling the supposedly $1 million winning prize. The ticket was also said to be purchased as a Quick Pick ticket. According to a report, there were five other Texan individuals who won $40,000 during last Saturday night's Powerball draw matching four out of five numbers including the Powerball and 92,584 Texans who won prizes valuing from $12 and up during the draw. There were no reported $300 million jackpot winners during last Saturday night's Powerball draw. Since the jackpot money was not won last Saturday, the money will roll over to Wednesday's drawing making the jackpot a good $400 million to whoever is lucky enough.

Although quite a big amount, the $400 million prize at stake on Wednesday's Powerball draw is still incomparable to the $590.5 million jackpot won last May which caused uproar among Powerball ticket holders. The 84 year old woman from Florida who won the $590.5 million jackpot still holds the biggest Poweball jackpot win so far.

The chances of winning all six numbers of the Powerball draw are 1 out of 175.2 million. Powerball is played in Washington D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands and in 43 other states.
