Longtime couple Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova met on the steamy 2001 video "Escape." But in the more than 10 years that the two have been an item, his dad, Julio Iglesias, has never met her. He has never even spoken to her.

"You know I have to tell the truth, I have never met Anna," he said to the Daily Mirror. "Yes, my wife, and my kids and his brothers have, but I have never met her, no, no, never."

The reporter noted there was a sadness in his answer, which he then covered up by being charming.

"My kids are very independent and it is difficult to see Enrique because he is all over the world," he said. "But Anna is very beautiful - they have good taste my kids."

Though he doesn't further explain why the meeting hasn't happened, he did talk about being proud of his son, especially because Enrique followed in his footsteps, which is no easy feat.

"But Enrique is in the same class of guys like Michael Douglas and Liza Minnelli," he said. "The music is very different to mine and he has gone his own way, I don't like to interfere with that."

He doesn't add whether he likes Enrique's music. Instead, he starts talking about his love life and career. About the latter, he says that he's not done with music anytime soon.

"I will never retire," he vows, "I am in my prime time, I am singing better than ever."

And about his past relationships, which include Priscilla Presley, Bianca Jagger and Debbie Dickinson? He says that's more fiction than fact.

"Reality has nothing to do with fantasies," he said. "Diana and I were like sister and brother. Of course, I adore her. But at 70 I believe the facts are more important than the fantasies."
