Listen up Gladiators, the third season of Shonda Rhimes political drama "Scandal" is just a few months away and details surrounding the new season are finally pouring in. The one-hour drama will be hitting the small screen in October but production has already begun.

Rhimes, along with the show's actors and producers, have been giving fans sneak previews into the taping of the new season. It began two weeks ago when actor Tony Goldwyn, who plays President Fitzgerald Grant, shared a photo on his Instagram of the show's first rehearsal. You can follow all of Goldwyn's "Scandal" inspired photos here.

Fellow cast mates Dan Bucatinsky and Kerry Washington also shared some shots from the set. "Good morning #Scandal!! Thanks for the new name on my door ! So great to see my hubby jscandalp again!" Bucatinsky tweeted. Washington, in turn, shared some photos of Goldwyn "since we all looooove him so!"

Emmy nominated actor/producer Bucatinsky also revealed to TVLine, "[The season premiere] will feel seamless in terms of giving people exactly what they love about 'Scandal.' We come back and relationships are just as rich, and just as surprising, and just as tense. That's what I noticed about the first script."

As previously reported, the premiere episode is entitled "It's Handled" and it was written by show creator Rhimes. Unlike past seasons, the third season will not see a time jump from last season's finale. Fans may remember that the season two finale revealed Rowan's connection to Olivia and the fallout of her relationship with the president.

In an earlier interview, Rhimes told The Hollywood Reporter, "It's not fair to drop that kind of bomb and then be like, 'Now we're going to jump ahead in time!' We're actually talking about starting next time with no time jump at all. Starting maybe 25 minutes after we leave the last season."

"Scandal" returns for its third season on Thursday, October 3 at 10 p.m. on ABC.
