On Tuesday, a Los Angeles judge ordered a man accused of stalking Taylor Swift and threatening to harm her family to stay away from the Grammy-winning singer for three more years.

LA Superior Court Judge Carol Boas Goodson issued a three-year extension of a restraining order on behalf of the country singer against Timothy Sweet. The restraining order remains in effect until March 2017. The directive orders Sweet to stay at least 100 yards away from Swift and her parents and prohibits him from contacting her through the Internet, the LA Daily News reports.

According to court documents, Sweet claimed that he is married to Swift and threatened to "kill any man" that got in his way, reports TMZ.

"Dearest Taylor, I'll kill any man who gets in the way of our marriage," reads one of the messages, according to the filing.

Court filings also reveal that Sweet has also gone to the "I Knew You Were Trouble" singer's homes in Beverly Hills and Nashville. The 33-year-old man began stalking the singer in Jan. 2011, according Swift's court papers.

"My wife, Taylor Swift and I live in Beverly Hills," Sweet allegedly wrote in one message. "I am in love with her. In conclusion, we treat each other with dignity and respect. I will carry a gun to protect her the rest of my life."

Swift wrote in a sworn declaration that she lives in fear for her safety in public and at home.

"Mr. Sweet's course of conduct, including threats to harm my family, are seriously alarming and harassing and are extremely distressing to me and my family," said Swift on March 3.

Sweet did not attend the hearing or respond to the singer's restraining order petition.
