A new episode of "Parenthood" will debut on NBC this Thursday in which Julia will continue to fight to save her broken marriage, while Joel seems to be testing the waters with someone other than his wife.

In a promo video of the upcoming episode, "Fraud Alert," Julia is seen desperately trying to win back her estranged husband Joel. "Are we trying to get back together?" she asks with tears in her eyes.

"I don't know what I want," Joel replies, adding, "I'm sorry," before he turns to walk away.

In another clip, he appears to be on a date with another woman and tells her "this has been amazing" before tenderly touching her hand.

Sarah will also get the chance to spark up romance with her old flame, Mark, after he randomly contacts her and the two go out on a date.

According to SpoilersGuide, the synopsis for "Fraud Alert" states: "Joel and Sarah celebrate the completion of their work projects, but Max has low morale after his school field trip ended with some bitter feelings so Adam takes him on an adventure to clear his head."

TVLine reports that the rest of Season 5 will heat up as Matt Lauria is set to return as Ryan during the penultimate episode. There's also a chance that he may appear in the finale. Furthermore, fans can look forward to meeting Ryan's mom, a "three Bloody Marys for breakfast" type of woman who failed to provide her son with motherly and emotional support.

Later on this season, Sarah Ramos will reprise her role as Haddie, Adam and Kristina's eldest daughter, TVLine reports exclusively. Although her contract on the series ended at the close of Season 3 when her character went off to college, she appeared throughout Season 4 to support to her cancer-stricken mom. Her comeback in this season's finale will mark her first appearance on the show in a year.

"Parenthood" returns on Thursday, March 27 with "Fraud Alert" on NBC at 10 p.m. EST.
