Everton and Real Madrid will face off in the first semifinal match in the International Champions Cup.
The English club is coming off a confidence-boosting win against Juventus in the first game. After a 1-1 draw through 90 minutes, the English club's goalie Jim Howard salvaged the game with a few stops in the penalty kick competition.
Real Madrid is coming off a dominant 3-1 win against the Los Angeles Galaxy that featured two goals from Karim Benzema and one from Angel Di Maria. Superstar Cristiano Ronaldo frustrated the Los Angeles defenders all night long but failed to score despite a number of chances.
Diego Lopez started in goal for Madrid in the opener and goalie Antonio Adan got some time at the end of the match. It is unknown if Iker Casillas will get a start against Everton in what features to be a goaltending showpiece.
