There was no reason to suspect anything was different as the hosts started the show, but the judges decided to change things up on "Nuestra Belleza Latina."
Jomari, who said he had gotten to learn more about the ladies each week, is now part of the panel of judges. He'll bring a different perspective to the panel because he has a different relationship with the contestants. This week he spoke to Yesenia Hernández and Prissila Sánchez, where they both opened up to him. Hernández confessed that her mother is an alcoholic, and Sánchez talked about always thinking of her grandparents during the competition.
Valeria had a difficult week, as it seemed the other contestants turned on her.
One of the challenges centered around the risks of texting and driving, where the ladies put on a sketch. Alicia Machado's team was the grand winner, and praised for being creative.
The main challenge was water themed, where they had to model without falling into the water. The winners were invited to be a part of Seventeen Magazine. Machado hosted a pajama party, but she would soon have her world rocked.
The biggest surprise affected Alicia Machado, who has been very successful so far. Machado and Denise Quiñones were told they had to switch teams. There were many tears, but the judges felt that Machado's team had the advantage, and that the other team was missing something.
At the end of the show, it was clear that Alina is one of the top contestants. Josephine is on her way to the top, having really learned from past weeks. Nabila is on thin ice.
The bottom three were in Machado's original team: Aly, Yesenia and Valeria. But ultimately it was Yesenia Hernández who was eliminated.
