Lady Gaga announced that the video for her latest single will debut this weekend on an unlikely television program.
The new music video for her latest single, "G.U.Y," will debut during NBC's "Dateline" Sat., March 22.
The second video was originally going to be for the song "Venus," and is the second video Gaga released for last year's "ARTPOP" album. The video for her duet with R. Kelly, "Do What U Want," has been delayed indefinitely.
A clip was going to be released for "Do What U Want," which was filmed at California's Hearst Castle and featured cameos from "The Real Housewives of Beverley Hills." However, some tourists believe the video was actually for "Venus" after they heard the song playing, according to Idolator.
Gaga told "The Today Show" that the "G.U.Y" video was "a very big production. We shot for six days, and it was just such a pleasure working with a whole team... we just had a really great time."
She also defended her controversial SXSW performance, which included an appearance from "regurgitation artist" Mille Brown.
The stunt was criticized by some for "glamorizing" eating disorders.
Gaga told "The Today Show," "Millie and I know that not everybody's going to love that performance, but we both really believe in artistic expression and strong identities, and I support her and what she does. 'ARTPOP,' my new album, is about bringing art and music together in the spirit of creative rebellion, and for us, that performance was art in its purest form."
In other Gaga news, Mother Monster has added more shows to her upcoming artRAVE tour. New dates were added for Los Angeles (7/22), Phoenix (7/30), Las Vegas (8/1), Lake Tahoe (8/2), Salt Lake City (8/4) and Denver (8/6).
