The Phil Jackson era in New York has started and the Knicks are expected to undergo a major shakeup starting this offseason to improve their title chances over the next several years.

According to Bleacher Report columnist Jared Zwerling, Amar'e Stoudemire could be involved in several trade talks this offseason as the Knicks are expected to look for ways to improve their financial flexibility.

Sources indicate that Stoudemire is expected to draw interest from several teams this summer that are looking to create cap space for the summer of 2015 when the likes of Rajon Rondo and Kevin Love hit free agency.

Stoudemire, who has been healthy for most of the season, will be playing in the final year of his contract next season, and his $23.4-million expiring contract will be very attractive to several teams this summer.

Interested teams could also be encouraged with Stoudemire's resurgence this season.

After playing just 29 games last season, Stoudemire has played in 52 games this season, including eight starts. The 12-year-veteran forward is averaging 11.1 points to go along with 4.6 rebounds per game this season.

The 31-year-old power forward knows that this season could be his last in a Knicks uniform, but Stoudemire insisted that he wants to stay a Knick for the rest of his career.

Stoudemire stressed that he wants to win a title in New York, and they are getting closer to that goal with Jackson having full control of the team's front office.

"I want to be a Knick for life and win multiple championships here," Stoudemire said. "I don't want to go anywhere else, especially with Jackson coming in. He has an incredible legacy; it's probably unmatched. With a leader like that, it can only become a positive output with that type of leadership."

Stoudemire, a six-time All-Star, also expressed willingness to learn the triangle offense Jackson is expected to implement, saying that most of his peers have been telling him that he is a perfect fit to the triangle.

"Regarding the Triangle offense, it's funny because I've been hearing that it would be great for me for the past six years," Stoudemire said. "It could be possible that we implement the Triangle offense, and I just can't wait to perfect whatever system we're going to be in. I'm ready to get to work now."
