On Monday, Fox will air an all-new episode of "Bones" that looks to be pretty interesting as the team will investigate the murder of an actor on a children's TV show and their latest experiment will start doing some odd feeding.
In the upcoming episode, titled "The Carrot in the Kudzu," the team will discover that things aren't as they seem as they investigate the murder of an actor.
Christine will be featured on the show to celebrate her birthday. However, according to executive producer Stephen Nathan, Parker is in England and will not attend Christine's birthday party. Nathan also mentioned that when it's time for the celebration, Booth and Brennan will be "investigating a murder that tangentially takes place at a children's show called The Vegetabills. So there will be dancing and singing vegetables, some of whom are suspects," reports TVLine.
"And in the midst of that, Booth is trying to work on Christine's birthday with Brennan, and we find out that Brennan has never had a b'day party herself when she was a kid. Max (returning guest star Ryan O'Neal) never threw her a party. So we see Max and Brennan working stuff out and bringing it to the party," Nathan continued.
Nathan went on to say, "Also in that episode, David [Boreanaz] fulfills a lifelong dream of having something to do with a one-man band."
According to CarterMatt, the official synopsis reads: "When a children's TV show actor is found dead, the Jeffersonian team goes behind the scenes to uncover who murdered everyone's favorite character, "Carrot Bill." But when the team discovers that the actor was known for his promiscuity, they start to uncover some unlikely suspects. Meanwhile, Booth and Brennan plan Christine's first birthday party, and Clark (guest star Eugene Byrd) asks the team for their opinions on a fictional novel he's completed."
TVLine has also revealed other Season 9 spoilers, including the name of the finale, which is "The Recluse in the Recliner," and that this will be a 24-episode season.
For fans wondering what's happening in Dr. Sweets' life, Nathan disclosed that Sweets "is going to kind of dovetail into the story at the FBI. He's going to have an impact on Booth's trajectory through the end of the year in terms of the potential promotion at the FBI, and also in realizing that maybe not everything is as nice and secure at the FBI as everyone thinks."
Furthermore, the show will likely air a tribute in memory of late actor Ralph Waite next season so that the show can give him the sendoff that he deserves.
"We didn't feel that it was right to do something just shooting from the hip," explains Nathan. "If we do something, we want it to show the respect we have for him and also the love we have for him."
"Bones" S9E18, "The Carrot in the Kudzu," airs Monday, March 24 at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
