On the latest episode of "Reign," Henry had a gruesome incident and Lola revealed a shocking secret.
In "Dirty Laundry," Francis (Tony Regbo) and Mary (Adelaide Kane) return home to the castle after a two-month honeymoon.
Bash (Torrance Coombs), who was supposed to be killed, also returns to court in an attempt to get Mary back. He tells her that he believes Francis was the one who ordered his death. Bash also returns to court with Olivia, who he found in the woods after she had been attacked and bitten by an unknown creature. She appears possessed and speaks of a "darkness" coming, and even stabs the court priest with his own crucifix. Bash takes her to Nostradamus (Rossif Sutherland) to try to cure her.
Meanwhile, King Henry (Alan Van Sprang) has been gathering suitors for Kenna (Caitlin Stasey). He brings in the Archduke of Bohemia as one of the potential suitors, while he has a fling his sister, the Duchess of Bohemia. King Henry is having sex with the Duchess by an open window when she falls backward off the balcony, plunging to her death.
He bribes Catherine (Megan Follows) to help him clean up the balcony, then they gather up the duchess' body. They decide to stage a suicide to clear Henry of any wrongdoing. They write a suicide note, then push the Duchess' body out the window. Catherine then lies and claims that the duchess was sleeping with the priest.
Meanwhile, Mary is trying to get pregnant so Francis will have an heir to the throne. While Mary has yet to conceive, Lola (Anna Popplewell) is pregnant from the one time she and Francis slept together.
Lola decides to get an abortion, which was a primitive, hazardous process in the 1550s. Mary stops Lola from going through with it just as she was about to undergo the procedure. Yet, Mary doesn't realize until after she saves the baby that the child is actually her husband's.
Later, Bash decides to leave for Spain, and says goodbye to a pretty huntress he befriended in the woods.
On the next episode, "The Darkness," "The castle is abuzz with First Light, where the women of the castle mingle with potential suitors. Much to Mary's dismay, Lola is reluctant to participate in the tradition. After another violent incident with the increasingly erratic King Henry, Kenna fears for her safety and confides in Queen Catherine, while Bash experiences the terrors of the woods and vows to uncover the truth behind the Darkness."
