The popular Assassin's Creed franchise is sure to have a sequel, but in the meantime, there are plenty of rumors to keep you entertained.

The games have been released annualy, but in order to do this, Ubisoft has different teams working on the games simultaneously to give them more time with the game, according to What Culture. So the team behind part four, Black Flag, has not worked on Assassin's Creed 5.

Many thought the next setting for the game would be Japan, but that was ruled out. Another rumor is that it's going to take place in Russia, but the only thing that is certain is that Ubisoft executive Jade Raymond said it takes place in her favorite historical era.

Ubisoft also said there would be five games released between April 2014 and March 2015. The Crew, Watch Dogs and Just Dance are the three that have been announced, so one of the remaining two is potentially Assassin's Creed. Also, the two previous Assassins Creed games were released in October, so that seems a likely time for it to be released.

An official source shared an image of what the main character might look like. The image was allegedly taking in Ubisoft's Montreal office, and the character is wearing a black robe. Some people believe he is holding a blade, while others believe he is holding a gun. What Culture says that instead of the character wearing black to signify that he's a ninja, he might actually be wearing black because white is not practical. If the game takes place during an industrial revolution, then the character would not be able to keep his white hood clean.

The biggest rumor is that the game is actually two games. One will supposedly work with the new generation of consoles and the other will work on the Xbox 360s and PS3s.
