The Los Angeles Dodgers are already boasting one of the deepest starting lineups in baseball, but that won't stop the front office team from adding more talent on their bench.

According to a report by Fox Sports baseball insider Ken Rosenthal on Sunday, the Dodgers are searching for solid players that will comprise their bench—which is the weakest in their division.

The Dodgers have an All-Star roster expected to value more than $225 million this year. However, the lack of talent among their reserves has raised some concerns heading into the new season.

In fact, many scouts believe the Dodgers have the weakest bench rotation in the National League West. Chone Figgins, Dee Gordon, Mike Baxter and Tim Federowicz are not seen as players that could make a huge impact whenever one of their high-paying sluggers goes down with an injury.

Of course, a healthy Matt Kemp would make the Dodgers' outfield perhaps the most imposing in baseball. But again, the absence of able reserves could hurt the team's chance to contend this upcoming season.

"The consensus among evaluators in Arizona is that the Dodgers' bench is the weakest in the National League West. That dynamic will change once Matt Kemp returns, turning the Dodgers' outfield into a four-headed monster," Rosenthal stated in his article.

Moreover, the departure of veteran infielder Nick Punto deprived the Dodgers of a stabilizing force they had last season. The exits of Mark Ellis, Skip Schumaker and the retirement of Jerry Hairston Jr. and Michael Young could all play big factor for the Dodgers, if they are not able to fill in these voids.

"Not surprisingly, considering all of their questions, the Dodgers continue to look for bench help, according to major league sources," Rosenthal stated.
