As production on "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" barrels forward, videos and photos from the set continue to make their way to the public eye. Fans have seen a fully decked out Jaime Foxx in his Electro makeup, a pre-CG Paul Giamatti portraying the Rhino, an NYPD car chase and much more. But there are other important aspects that tie into the Spidey sequel that are just as appealing to fans.

One particular look inside the Spider-Man movie featured several photos of Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) as she stood atop a bridge, mimicking a scene from the comic book series where Gwen falls to her death. She's seen in a similar costume and state of distress, so unsurprisingly the photos sparked plenty of speculation. Now, a recent quote from Stone only further fuels the flames.

"Essentially the argument is that Spider-Man kills her by accident," Stone told SFX Magazine. "So the person she loves is the person who kills her, which is the most horrifying thing. Apparently people unsubscribed to the comic book when that happened because they were just so flipped-out over it. But of course, I want to stay true to that."

Stone doesn't confirm or deny her character's death, but she clearly hints at a morbid ending. Check out the set photos featuring Gwen moments before her potential plunge here.

In a recent interview with another "Amazing Spider-Man 2" star, Foxx promised fans that the film will be nothing short of phenomenal.

"Oh, man - it's so much fun," Foxx told Yahoo! "The costume is great. They were very creative with it."

"Marc Webb is a genius and Amy Pascal and everybody at Sony have just be so gracious to allow me to have this opportunity. So it's cool."

In "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," for Peter Parker, life is busy - between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen, high school graduation can't come quickly enough. Peter hasn't forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen's father to protect her by staying away - but that's a promise he just can't keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro, emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn, returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" is set to hit theaters on May 2, 2014.
