Friday Night Smackdown started off with Sheamus taking on 3MB's Heath Slater, who ate a Brogue Kick for the loss to kick off the show. Sheamus took care of Slater's partners, Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre, who thought it would be a good idea to attack the "Celtic Warrior" with their numbers advantage, only to get squashed by Sheamus.
WWE COO Triple H came out to address both Daniel Bryan and WWE fans who supported Bryan's #OccupyRAW movement, telling them that he vows to not only take their fun away, but he will destroy Bryan and prevent him from achieving his Wrestlemania dream. Triple H then called out Damien Sandow, for failing to heed his orders and disrupt the #OccupyRAW protest when ordered by The Authority. Despite his pleas for forgiveness, "The Game" ordered that Sandow face a member of The Shield.
Seth Rollins of The Shield was chosen to face Sandow, whom he rolled up and defeated in convincing manner. After the match, when Sandow attempted to escape his punishment, United States Champion Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns tossed Sandow back into the ring, where the stable planted Sandow on the mat with a Triple Powerbomb.
Intercontinental Champion Big E Langston defeated Fandango in a quick, non-title match.
Goldust and Cody Rhodes defeated The Real Americans—whose chemistry issues continue to persist, with both Cesaro and Jack Swagger still publically bickering with one another. After Rhodes pinned Swagger, the Real Americans took out Goldust and double-teamed Rhodes before the WWE Tag Team Champions, The Usos, made the save for Rhodes and Goldust.
Kofi Kingston was fed to the buzzards this week, as the leader of the Wyatt Family, Bray Wyatt, took out the former Intercontinental champion with a Sister Abigail.
Backstage, WWE Director of Operations Kane ordered The Shield to be at ringside for his Friday Night Smackdown main event match against The Big Show. Roman Reigns reminded Kane that they do not take orders from him and Seth Rollins informed the WWE exec they will be at ringside only because it is "what's best for business."
Tamina, the WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee's bodyguard, lost to E! Total Diva cast-member Nikki Bella, who was accompanied by sister Brie Bella, after falling victim to Bella's Nikki Rack Attack.
Dolph Ziggler defeated Alberto Del Rio in singles competition, with Ziggler announcing after the match that he was entering the 30-man Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at Wrestlemania 30.
Carlos Colon Sr.—father of former WWE star Carlito Cool Breeze, and current member of Los Matadores Diego—will be a part of the class of 2014 WWE Hall of Fame class, along with Jack "The Snake" Roberts, the Ultimate Warrior, Lita and Paul Bearer.
The Big Show defeated WWE Director of Operations Kane—despite having The Shield at ringside to watch his back, choke-slamming "the Big Red Corporate Monster" for the pin. After the bout, Kane got upset The Shield did nothing to help him, attempting to chokeslam Seth Rollins, only to eat a Roman Reigns Spear, with The Shield standing tall over the WWE executive to end the show.
