Rapper Speaker Knockerz Found Dead in His Home in South Carolina

A local southern rapper named Speaker Knockerz was found dead in his South Carolina home on Thursday, March 6, according to Billboard.
The 19-year-old artist, real name Derek McAllister, was discovered in his garage in Columbia, S.C., Richland County Coroner Gary Watts confirmed to WISTV. No foul play is suspected and an autopsy conducted on Friday morning showed no signs of trauma. Authorities are still waiting for his toxicology results.
The teen was last seen riding in a black Camaro before he went missing for two days. According to BET, during that time, his mother, identified as Mesha Wilson, wrote on Facebook early last week, "It's not like him not to communicate or come home for this long period of time. I pray that my son is ok."
After his body was found, Wilson posted another Facebook message thanking his fans for the "outpouring of love and kindness" shown to her family as they mourn their loss. "Oh my GOD is all I can say right now ....My baby," she added.
Although Knockerz was unsigned, he amassed a large following online; his song "Rico Story Trilogy" garnered over 3 million views.
Zack Dillon, the rapper's friend and collaborator, expressed remorse for the teen's passing, writing, "RIP my bro speaker knockerz man," adding, "i'll remember every laugh we ever had..."
Thousands of other adoring fans also expressed their condolences on Twitter using the hashtag #RIPSpeakerKnockerz after the young emcee's sudden death.
