Fans should brace themselves for more shocking twists and a major "OMG moment" in the next all-new episode of "Scandal" Thursday.
During last week's episode on the hit political drama series, Mellie and Andrew's past came to light, plus it was revealed that Mellie was raped by Fitz's father and that she was suicidal at one point. Mellie and Andrew, Fitz's running mate, also shared a kiss which shows that their fling isn't over, reports Time.
Viewers also saw that James is still out to ruin Cyrus and Quinn proved that not even one of Liv's pep talks could reverse the hurt that Huck caused her. Rowan told Liv about his intent to demolish the White House and Fitz and it became very evident that Liv's mother is ready to wreak havoc, reports Celeb Dirty Laundry.
In the upcoming installment, titled "No Sun on the Horizon," Fitz will face off with his own Vice President, Sally Langston, in their first presidential debate. Although the Commander-in-Chief seems ready to take her on, there's a chance that he's feeling overly confident since Sally has already proven she's willing to spill blood in order to get his position, notes TV Fanatic.
In the meantime, the gladiators will investigate the case of a powerful CEO accused of murder. Olivia will also receive shocking news and be forced to make a difficult decision.
A promo also reveals that viewers will be in for an epic, game-changing moment in the last 30 seconds of the show.
"Every season 'Scandal' has an ultimate OMG moment; a moment that rocks us to the core, and changes the course of 'Scandal' history. Next Thursday, it happens in the last 30 seconds," teases the narrator in the preview video.
The official ABC synopsis for episode 13 states: "A well prepared Fitz gets thrown a curve ball during the first presidential debate, Olivia receives shocking news and is forced to make an extremely difficult decision, and the gladiators work with a powerful CEO accused of murder. Meanwhile, one dirty little secret could lead to deadly consequences."
"Scandal" will return with S3E13, "No Sun on the Horizon," on Thursday, March 13 on ABC.
