"The Good Wife" will return this Sunday with the beginning of a three-episode event that will lead to what is being advertised as the series' "most shocking moment...ever."

TVLine showed a 30-second promo clip for the series, which shows Alicia (Julianna Margulies) and Will (Josh Charles) butting heads again, as well as a big hint about a scandal leading to the show's most shocking moment yet.

You can watch the clip here.

The scandal in question could surround Peter's (Chris Noth) election fraud. Series co-creator Michelle King said the scandal "continues to play over the rest of the season. I don't know if it will be a part of the season finale, but it's definitely not over."

Also, when the series resumes, Matthew Goode will debut as State's Attorney Prosecutor Finn in the March 23 episode. The episode will also see the return of Hunter Parrish's character, Jeffrey Grant.

"He [Finn] is the prosecutor of [Jeffery]," executive producer Robert King revealed. "He's an excellent prosecutor, and has fun in court."

It was also recently revealed that episode 20 will involve a Libertarian grad student who has a medical marijuana card and cerebral palsy.

In addition, Lemond Bishop is returning to "The Good Wife," which will cause some big problems for Florrick Agos.

In the first episode back, comically titled "Parallel Construction, Bitches," Mike Colter's Lemond Bishop will make some waves.

"Bishop brought his illegitimate business over to Florrick Agos, and some of his employees are [suddenly] being arrested," explained Robert King. "So there is a worry about [possible] leaks coming out of Florrick Agos that are hurting [him]."

The possible suspects are Robyn (Jess Weixler), Clarke (Nathan Lane), and Cary (Matt Czuchry).

"It's this very complicated picture that starts with a crime case but turns quickly into suspicion that there's a leak at F.A." King added.

Additionally, the episode will see the return of Bishop's right hand man, Charles Lester, played by Wallace Shawn.

A new attorney will also step in to replace Peter Florrick. John Leguizamo ("ER") is guest-starring as the new Cook County State's Attorney, according to TVLine. Leguizamo's character, who took over Peter's (Chris Noth) position after he was elected governor, is described as a "well-liked leader" who strives to make the State Attorney's Office fair for everyone.

The actor will reportedly appear in one episode.

Michael J. Fox will also reprise his role for multiple episodes. According to TVLine, the actor has closed a deal with CBS to reprise his role as Alicia's legal rival, Louis Canning, for multiple episodes at the end of this season.

Rumors of Fox's potential return surfaced at the Television Critics Association winter press tour. At the tour, Robert King said, "We're trying to make that work. Because he finished filming [The Michael J. Fox Show], so it looks like we're going to get a chance to get him back."

"The Good Wife" returns on Sunday, March 9 at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
