At the Oscars, Elsa Pataky was on Chris Hemsworth's arm and wore a sparkly green dress that accentuated her baby bump.
She was one of the few pregnant women who attended the event. On E!'s "Fashion Police," Joan Rivers decided to poke some fun at her because of the size of her baby bump.
"I know why she's huge," Rivers said, according to Us Weekly. "I saw her sonogram."
The 80-year-old comedian and host then showed off a picture of the Ellen Degeneres celebrity selfie that broke Twitter.
Co-host George Kotsiopoulos took one step further. "The last thing I wanna do is rip on a pregnant woman. But it's a horrible dress on her. It doesn't look like a baby bump, it looks like a beer belly."
Pataky's baby bump may not be as small as Olivia Wilde's, who was greatly praised for her sleek dress at the Oscars, but the 37-year-old Spanish model is expecting twins.
Kelly Osbourne added that a more appropriate dress would be empire style. "It's just not the appropriate dress to wear if you are pregnant," she said. "You have to go with an empire style or just dress like Olivia Wilde," Osbourne said.
Giuliana Rancic said that it wasn't the baby bump that made her dislike the look, it was the dress.
For people who weren't trying to insult someone's baby bump, they sure did a lousy job. Most of the attacks were centered around the bump, and how she didn't look the way they wanted her to look.
It doesn't seem this will stop Pataky from embracing her belly, though.
She was spotted on the beach with a red-and-white life saver painted on her bare belly. To really drive the theme home, the life preserver was encircled by white rope.
