On the last episode, "Our Toil Shall Strive to Mend," Emery's class is allowed inside the Sector to see the commemoration ceremony for the Atrians' 10th anniversary.

Roman is against the idea, but Emery decides to go anyway. Grayson also goes, and tries to make a video of the Atrians sharing their Arrival Day stories. Meanwhile, Julia's veins are turning blue, a side effect of being cured with Cyper. She has to take Vire, a plant, even though humans had never used it before. But it ends up working out.

Emery ends up turning her back on Grayson after she discovers his parents are Red Hawks, Teri joins the Trags, and it is revealed that Gloria has an Atrian child.

In Episode 4, "And Left No Friendly Drop," Roman will be infuriated that a sector guard is looking for restricted technology and ransacks his family's pod. But he'll be more surprised when his mother, played by Susan Walters, reveals what they were looking for: a secret cell phone that she found among his father's things, according to Spoiler TV.

He takes the phone to school and asks Julia, who he trusts, for help in retrieving whatever the phone holds. She, in turn, introduces him to Luke. This exchange ends up causing problems between Julia and Emery.

Emery notices the closeness between Julia and Roman, and when asked about it, Julia has to lie; she promised she wouldn't say anything about the phone.

Sophia ends up joining the swim team with some encouragement from Emery. She wows with her time, but not everyone is on board with her joining the team. She ends up being poisoned. Sophia goes into convulsions, and Roman, who is trying to save his sister, gets arrested by guards.

Will this be the last we see of Sophia?
