You're about to see a change in the way your Gmail app responds on your iPhone.
The latest version of the app will cut down on refresh delays and it will make it easier to use if you have more than one Google app, said Google on Wednesday in a blog post.
"Whether you're checking your email first thing in the morning or as you're waiting in line at the grocery store, you want to get your messages as quickly as possible," Google wrote. "With today's update to the Gmail iOS App, it's easier to do just that."
The app will now support the background app refresh found on iOS 7, so that your messages can be "pre-fetched and synced" even before you open the app.
"They're right there when you open the app-no more annoying pauses while you wait for your inbox to refresh," wrote Melissa Dominguez, a software engineer, in the post.
Also, if you are signed into one Google app, then you'll be signed into all. No longer will you need to type your username and password into Maps, YouTube or Chrome.
Google is always looking to the future and recently rolled out a new, more intuitive design for Google Maps by starting from scratch.
"You throw everything out and redesign it from the ground up with the future in mind-and not just the future of smartphones and tablets, but also the future of Google Glass, the iWatch, and self-driving cars," reported Fast Company.
Jonah Jones, the lead designer for Google Maps, said that though the website started off as very functional, it ended up being weighed down by too many features, which made it difficult to find exactly what you were looking for.
