Cara Delevingne is certainly not turning her back on modeling—but she's also not giving up on becoming an actress.

The 21-year-old English model will make her television debut in "Timeless."

The Tim Frith drama is part of Sky Arts' comedy and drama series, Playhouse Presents, according to the Telegraph. In this 30-minute piece, Delevingne will play Chloe, a woman who is looking after her great grandmother, Alice, who will be played by Sylvia Syms. The two end up bonding, despite the age gap, after Chloe gets bad news about her fiancé, who is a soldier serving in Afghanistan.

The drama is described as an "engaging tale of love, loss and hope."

Delevingne's acting chops are truly going to be tested with this role, which will feature her as one of the main characters. Her first role was in the 2012 movie "Anna Karenina" as Princess Sorokina. Though she ended up interfering with the main relationship in the film, she didn't have a very big role. This year she will also be in "Kids in Love," "London Fields" and "The Face of an Angel," so perhaps this is going to be the last year we think of her as a model first.

Delevingne has been vocal about her desire to act.

"Modeling is a great job, and I appreciate everything it has brought me, but it's not my passion," she said. "As far back as I can remember, I have wanted to act. We were going through all these old home videos recently, which I'd never seen before, and there were shots of me acting on a mocked-up stage."

Filming for "Timeless" will start shortly.
