Incoming free agent forward Carmelo Anthony admitted that he had seen the signs to join the Chicago Bulls next summer...well, at least, he did during the New York Knicks' latest encounter with the Bulls on Monday at the United Center in Chicago, Ill.

Anthony, who is expected to hit the free agency market at the end of the season, met with the press following his team's 109-90 loss to the Bulls and talked about some of the antics during the game, including a fan sign made to convince him to sign with the Bulls.

"It was a good sign," Anthony said with a laugh, according to NBC Sports. "It was a good sign. I don't know what you want me to say about that."

The seven-time NBA All-Star is one of the most coveted players soon to become an unrestricted free agent; the Bulls have been rumored as front-runners to sign the high-scoring small forward.

The 29-year-old Anthony didn't mince words in expressing the frustration he's dealing with this year, as the Knicks continue their unexpected freefall. The reigning scoring champ called the Knicks' current ordeal embarrassing and frustrating—adjectives that show Melo's dismay with his team's current standing.

When asked about his plans after this season, Anthony once again distanced himself from the issues and stressed that he's taking things one step at a time.

"I can't even see next year. S-, I can't even see tomorrow at this point, man" Melo said. "It's hard for me to focus on that while going through the journey right now."

The Bulls have already made key moves to unload big contracts this season by trading All-Star small forward Luol Deng to the Cleveland Cavaliers in January. The team is also expected to amnesty Carlos Boozer's huge deal and trade some of their assets—Taj Gibson, Mike Dunleavy and Kirk Hinrich, in particular—to free up more space in their salary cap.

Anthony is averaging 28 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game with the Knicks, who are 21-40 this season.
