Great Britain welterweight Amir Khan isn't giving up on his dream of facing Floyd Mayweather Jr., challenging former WBA welterweight champ Adrien Broner to a "title-eliminator" slugfest this May.

Khan wants to face Broner in the undercard of the Money May vs. Marcos Maidana showdown on May 3 at MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas, Nev.

Despite winning an online fan voting poll that had fans picking their preferred choice for Mayweather's opponent this May, Khan, the two-time light welterweight champion, lost his chance to take on Money May in Showtime Boxing's Cinco de Mayo event after Mayweather's camp decided to pick the Argentinian brawler.

On the strength of his unanimous decision win over Broner, Maidana can earn the biggest paycheck of his career in the fight against Mayweather, who could top the guaranteed paycheck he had against Saul Canelo Alvarez last year.

Khan expressed his disappointment over Mayweather's decision not to face him. However, it seems the Briton is not quitting easily—he called out the Grand Rapids native to line up Broner for him on his undercard.

""@FloydMayweather, tell @AdrienBroner to fight me on your card and when I beat him, you fight me next," Khan posted on his Twitter account, as reported by Boxing News 24.com.

Meanwhile, Mayweather expressed his willingness to accept Khan's challenge, promising him a bout, but only if he manages to beat the three-division world champion Broner.

"I don't have an easy fight on May 3, 2014, so I can't over look @ChinoMaidana but @AmirKingKhan, if you and @AdrienBroner end up fighting ... each other on my show and you win (which you won't)... I'll fight you," said Mayweather in his latest interview with Fight Hype.

Mayweather also explained the reason behind his decision to fight Maidana on May 3, rather than taking on the Briton.

"He's been very, very impressive lately, whereas Amir Khan does have a win over Marcos Maidana, but he was fatigued in the fight and he was in a life and death fight. You know, he started off good, but it's how you finish and I wasn't impressed with how he finished...this is Floyd Mayweather. I play the waiting game...people have to wait on me. You have to wait to see if your lottery ticket will be picked," Money May told Fight Hype.
