Sarah Jessica Parker's new fashion line is being released on Friday, and she's learning some new skills to promote her collection.

The "Sex and The City" star that popularized Manolo Blahniks has teamed up with Nordstrom for a new collection, and she has started to use social media for the first time to promote the products. Pinterest will be playing a major role with a campaign titled, "A Day in Her Shoes, SJP: Wear To Go."

The Pinterest campaign will correspond to her traditional marketing, when she is visiting different cities promoting her brand. Place Pins will suggest where to go in the city that Parker is visiting, reported Women's Wear Daily.

She will also be visible on other social media platforms.

"I never used social media in my life until November. I was genuinely terrified," Parker said. "I said to [Nordstrom], 'Treat me like I'm a newborn, like I've literally just been birthed.'"

Parker is already a dedicated Pinner. She picked every single item for the New York-based pins, and asked her friends in other cities for their recommendations.

The actress also spoke to Vanity Fair about her 30-piece collection.

When asked why every shoe had a name, she said: "If you were a lady and a consumer of shoes, you would see that it's uncommon for a shoe not to have a name. I think it's nice to connect with the shoe, but I would agonize over every name. There were a lot of shoes to be named, and I took it extremely seriously."

The shoes will also be single-soled because simplicity is what she strived for when creating the collection, which borrows from the 1970s.

Other than heels, the collection will also have flats, espadrilles, handbags and trenches.
