When "Glee" resumes, familiar faces will return to take part in the show's two-part 100th episode, airing March 18 and March 25. 

Stars of the Fox dramedy spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the 100th episode, as well as what's in store for their characters after the momentous two-parter. 

Lea Michele told EW that the show will permanently move to NYC after the second part of the 100th episode. Some are referring to episode 101 as the Lima season finale, as it will feature the graduation of the McKinley High seniors before a few of them make the move to New York. 

Kurt (Chris Colfer), Rachel (Lea Michele) and Santana (Naya Rivera) will be joined in the Big Apple by Artie (Kevin McHale), who is going to film school, Sam (Chord Overstreet), who will try his hand at modeling, and Blaine (Darren Criss), will may be getting married to Kurt. Michele also said that Amber Riley's Mercedes will be in a couple episodes.

While Jane Lynch has not yet been written into the New York scripts, she will be on the show in the future. 

Viewers will also be saying goodbye to adolescent high school stories as the characters transition into adult life in the concrete jungle. 

"We are gonna take some time just in NY. See where that takes us," executive producer Brad Falchuk said. "We're really excited about adult stories out of high school when nobody gives a hoot about you. How does that feel to suddenly be nobody from being the biggest hero?"

Darren Criss also said that Blaine and Kurt may experience some relationship hurdles once they move in together. 

"When you move in with somebody in any relationship, it's going to be a challenge," Criss said. "I think they are going to face some challenges together and see if they can get through them or not. There are some cool, very adult themes that are exciting to explore. Fans that have gotten older while watching the show can relate."

EP Falchuk teased that guest stars Kristin Chenoweth and Gwyneth Paltrow will both be reprising their roles from earlier seasons and performing musical numbers together. One number is said to involve Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison) and lots of foam.

In addition, TVLine released some photos of the Lima students preparing for graduation. The photos feature Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz), Blaine and Sam, as well as Emma (Jayma Mays), who returns to share a moment with Will. You can see the photos here. 

The photos also show the tension between Rachel and Santana, who is eyeing Rachel's role in "Funny Girl."

In the next episode, "Frenemies," Santana (Naya Rivera) will participate in Rachel's (Lea Michele) "Funny Girl" photo shoot—complete in her Barbra Streisand alter-ego—which leads her to become Rachel's understudy in the musical. The casting decision will incite tension between the two friends. 

The synopsis for the upcoming episode reads: "Rachel will face off with Santana. Kurt is going head-to-head with Elliott. And Tina will be feuding with her ex-boyfriend, Artie."  

"Glee" will return for episode nine of its fifth season on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
