All eyes will be on Paris as fashion week starts on Tuesday, and it's happening just in time. The Academy Awards will take place less than a week after the shows have started, and you're guaranteed to see some starlet wearing a fresh-off-the-runway gown to the event. Here's what you don't want to miss:

The clothing will be especially beautiful. Valentino and Christian Dior are just a few examples of brands that manage to send the most divine dresses season after season. They make pieces that are made for the red carpet. Jennifer Lawrence might not pick one of this season's Dior dresses for the Oscars since she has the recent couture collection to pick from, but she will probably be wearing many pieces in the upcoming year. And pretty much everyone will wear Valentino.

Alexander Wang is still fairly new at being the Balenciaga creative director, but he's also on such a roll. He staged one of the biggest shows for his own label this season, and he is sure to bring something special to Paris.

High street brand H&M is planning on another big show for fashion week. The limited-edition line is called H&M Studio and was created by an in-house team. "It's so exciting to show H&M Studio in Paris and to present the season's key trends and pieces in one collection. H&M Studio is about our love of fashion, at the heart of everything we do," said Ann-Sofie Johansson, the creative head of design, to WWD.

The thing about Paris Fashion Week is that there are many big names that you don't want to miss. Stella McCartney, Chloé, Kanye West favorite Maison Martin Margiela and Céline always prove to be interesting. But, as is always the case with Paris Fashion Week, one man will have websites and glossies buzzing: Karl Lagerfeld. The larger-than-life designer stages elaborate shows and has interesting inspiration for his shows, so it's always worth tuning into. Plus, there will be plenty of celebrity faces in the crowd, possibly even one Kristen Stewart.
