Will Neymar's tenure with Barcelona be a successful one?
Many have questioned whether or not the Brazilian will have the success that the club expects after paying over 57 million euros for his services.
AC Milan coach Arrigo Sacchi is among those that believe a terrible marriage lies ahead for the club and player.
"I don't know how Neymar will do at Barcelona. At Barca, the style of play is more important than anything else. We will have to wait and see if Neymar fits in," Sacchi said according to Marca.
"All I'm saying is that you don't know how something will pan out. Just look at what happened with Ibrahimovic. He had all the talent to play at Barca, yet in the end he did not fit in with the rest of the players."
Ibrahimovic is a power forward with the ability to take over a game single-handedly. However, at Barcelona he was second-string to Lionel Messi and was subjected to waiting around for Barcelona's slow passing game.
Neymar is a player filled with creative flair and there are also questions about whether he is willing to keep his individuality at check for the sake of the tiki taka system at Barcelona.
The most compelling question of all is whether Neymar is willing to subordinate himself to being the backup to Lionel Messi. Most of Barcelona's personnel, including Neymar believe that this partnership will be fruitful.
"I hope it will be a partnership to make history. We have everything for that to happen and it's an honor, a dream come true, to play alongside the best in the world and that is what persuaded me choose Barcelona," Neymar told reporters.
"They are both great people with great hearts and I believe that both of them will do their best to bring the team as much success as it has had in the past," said Barcelona president Sandro Rosell about the Messi-Neymar partnership.
