Being a serious model and a reality TV show star don't mix, at least that's what Kendall Jenner has been told.
According to Radar, Jenner has been advised to quit "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" if she is serious about pursuing a career in modeling. Jenner's recently taken the fashion world by storm. First by walking in Marc Jacobs in New York Fashion Week, and then Giles in London.
"Kendall has been told by several high profile fashion photographers that she definitely has a future in modeling," said a source close to Jenner.
"However, she was advised that continuing to appear on reality television will diminish interest in her as a model. The problem also is scheduling. Kendall is contractually obligated to appear on the show and there is a huge time commitment involved. In the past, she has had to pass on modeling shoots because shooting for the television show takes precedence," the source added.
"Keeping Up With the Kardashians" first premiered on E! in 2007, and Jenner has been on the show since before she was a teenager.
She and her younger sister, Kylie Jenner, are on the cover of Marie Claire Mexico, and in the issue Kendall speaks about wanting to model, explaining that it's something "she's always enjoyed watching and looking at high fashion models and supermodels. I always wanted to be them. Even as a kid, I remember always looking at my mom's magazines. I would look up to them, and I thought they were so beautiful and they seemed very elegant and cool. It's just something I really wanted to be."
After her brush with the fashion elite, Jenner headed home to California, where she was greeted by her dog. She also attended a store opening for Tyga with her younger sister.
