A 20-year-old man who alleges that he was punched by singer Chris Brown and his bodyguard last October filed a civil lawsuit Tuesday seeking $1.5 million from each man.
Parker Isaac Adams filed the suit in Superior Court in Washington for medical expenses he claims incurred during a physical altercation outside a Washington hotel last year. The lawsuit states that Adams suffered from a fractured nose and injuries to his head and face as a result of being punched, reports the AP.
Adams told CBS News that he is seeking to recover money for his medical bills, which include visits to a plastic surgeon and a breathing specialist.
The incident occurred Sunday, Oct. 27 around 4:30 a.m. after Brown left The Park at Fourteen nightclub in Washington D.C. where he was hosting a party in celebration of Howard University's homecoming.
Brown was reportedly heading to his tour bus to go back to his hotel when he got into a scuffle with Adams. Brown's camp claims that he was trying to enter his tour bus, however a police report obtained by CNN states that Adams tried to jump into a photo in which Brown was posing with a female fan on the sidewalk.
Brown then reportedly yelled "I'm not down with that gay s--t" and "I feel like boxing" before he punched him in the face with his closed fist, the report said.
Adams also told police that Brown's bodyguard stepped in and punched him in the face again. The bodyguard, who stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 240 pounds, then grabbed Brown by the arm and pulled him towards the tour bus.
Brown and the bodyguard were taken into custody and were held at the Second District police station that morning. They were later transferred to a central jail cell block for processing, police said.
