LeBron James has been dodging questions about his future all season long, but the Miami Heat superstar made his most candid statement so far about his potential free agency this summer.

James, who can opt out of the final year of his contract with the Heat and become a free agent this summer, had an hour-long interview with NBA TV's Steve Smith that aired on Monday.

When asked if he can see himself leaving Miami in the offseason, James said that he can't envision himself signing elsewhere at this point, but he quickly added that a lot of things can still happen between now and July.

"At this point, I can't," James said, via ESPN. "We don't know what can happen from now to July, you know."

James stressed that he will stay focused on winning his third NBA title this season before thinking about what he intends to do moving forward.

"What I've been able to do this whole season to this point is just worry about what's at hand and that's winning a championship," James said. "And hopefully at the end of this year I can put myself in a position where I can hold that Larry O'Brien Trophy up once again and then I will assess what I will have to do with my future after that."

NBA analysts believe that the Big Three era of James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh in Miami is nearing its end.

It is widely believed that James—and even Bosh—would opt out of the final year of their contracts and consider signing elsewhere if the Heat fail to successfully defend their title this season.

Previous rumors indicated that James, who is averaging 26.8 points to go along with 7.1 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game this season, could be Los Angeles Clippers-bound this summer.

Sources said that the four-time and reigning Most Valuable Player might consider moving to the Clippers to play alongside good friend Chris Paul starting next season.

The Clippers will not have enough salary cap space to sign James this offseason, but Los Angeles could acquire the 10-time All-Star via a sign-and-trade deal with the Heat.

NBA analysts are convinced that the Heat will be amenable to a sign-and-trade scenario in the offseason only if the Clippers will include high-flying superstar forward Blake Griffin in the deal.
