The Elle Style Awards are an annual event that corresponds with London Fashion Week. The 2014 ceremony took place on Tuesday night and was hosted by Nick Grimshaw, a BBC Radio 1 DJ.

Here's everything you need to know about the glitzy event.

The celebrities were treated to a champagne reception and a 1950s supper club menu, according to the Mirror.

Emma Watson showed up in a Giambattista Valli dress that had a huge bow on it. The top half featured sparkles and the exaggerated bow was on the bottom half. She ended up winning actress of the year at the event. She's known to make unexpected choices, and she proved once again why she has standout style.

Cara Delevingne also shined on the red carpet. She wore a vintage black dress with a plunging neckline that she paired with a Mulberry bag. She has recently designed a line of bags for the brand, so it's a fitting choice. She also spoke to Digital Spy about her acting aspirations.

Her older sister Poppy Delevingne was decked in Emilia Wickstead, who was named the Red Carpet Designer of the Year.

Pharrell Williams, disappointingly, ended his hat streak. He did talk about his hat, though, saying that reporters should talk to Vivienne Westwood who made the hat 30 years ago. "I'm happy to be the guy to be able to wear it...," he said. "It was something I've had for like five years, and it just sort of made sense... Vivienne Westwood is the one who should be getting the praise and the acclaim." He took home the International Recording Artist award.

Katy Perry took home the biggest honor. She was named Woman of the Year. She wore a rose-printed silk dress by Vivienne Westwood, and she debuted a new bob and bangs. But the diamond on her ring finger was still plenty visible.
