On the latest installment of ABC Family drama "The Fosters," Stef laid her father to rest and Callie returned home.

In "Padre," Stef (Teri Polo) is regretting the conversation she had with her dad before his passing. Lena (Sherri Saum) tries to get her to talk about it, but she refuses.

Meanwhile, Lena is hoping they can talk Callie (Maia Mitchell) out of the "independent living" idea.

Lena decides to keep her pregnancy plans a secret for now, considering Stef's preoccupation with the loss of her father. Yet, Stef finds Lena's prenatal vitamins, figuring out Lena's secret.

That same day, Mike (Danny Nucci) tells Lena to keep Stef away from newspapers, as a journalist wrote a sensationalized article about the shooting and police brutality.

The funeral is hard on Callie, who begins thinking about her late mother. At the funeral, she sees that the Jude (Hayden Byerly) is fitting into the family well, which makes her push Brandon (David Lambert) away.

Then, although Callie advises him against it, Brandon announces their relationship at the funeral.

Once Callie is back home, she begins to feel guilty about leaving the way she did, and realizes how much she missed Mariana (Cierra Ramirez).

Meanwhile, Lena tells her baby plans to her overbearing mother, and her mother simply dismisses them. Her then mother agrees to lay off with her opinions, but says she should have told the news to Stef first.

Later, Callie begins to hyperventilate when she realizes she lost the necklace that belonged to her mother. Stef intervenes and manages to calm her down, telling her she doesn't need a necklace to remember her mother.

Brandon then finds the necklace anyway, and returns it to Callie. Callie then tells Brandon that she loves him, but they can't continue with their relationship.

Jude makes the decision that he wants to stay with the Fosters, and now Callie does as well.

In the end, Stef accepts her father for what he was. She speaks to her father's priest, who lets Stef know that her father really did love her.

On the next episode, "Us Against the World," "Callie tries to earn the trust of her family and make way for a better future. Stef has to testify in Mike's case, but struggles knowing that revealing the truth would jeopardize her job. Mariana tries to garner Chase's attention through a bold decision."

Although the show's first season is only halfway through, executive producer Peter Paige is telling fans to mentally prepare for the winter finale on March 24, which is promising to be a doozy.

"I literally almost cried, just now standing here talking to you," Paige said about the winer finale, according to TVLine. "It's a freight train. And it's coming for your heart."

Young star Hayden Byerly added, "It's so dramatic. It's so heartbreaking for Callie and Jude, especially. Something terrible happens to both of them."

Watch the promo for "Us Against the World" below, which airs Mon., Feb. 17 at 9 p.m. on ABC Family.
