The Xbox One controller will be tweaked slightly in the near future because of some comments made by the Titanfall development team concerning the controller's responsiveness.

"It's just fixing the controller input, really. It wasn't really where we felt it should be; it was a little overly twitchy with the current controls. Now it's fixed. We're happy with it," lead design for Titanfall Justin Hendry told The Verge.

These tweaks were confirmed by Microsoft, and the company will include the controller modifications in the February Xbox One update. Microsoft specifically stated that the update will "increase the sensitivity of the outer boundaries of the thumbsticks on the Xbox One controller," and will take effect when a Xbox One controller is synced to the console.

Some may find that the comments from Respawn Entertainment (the developer of Titanfall) may hold an usual amount of weight concerning the functionality of the Xbox One controller, but certain developers are often used to calibrate and develop controllers; Guerrilla Games, the developer behind the PlayStation 4-exclusive Killzone: Shadow Fall, was involved with the creation of the Dualshock 4 controller for the system.

Microsoft appears to be gearing up for the launch of Titanfall with several different updates to the Xbox One. Along with the February update that will bring these changes to the Xbox One, a March update is also planned. This update is focused on improving the XBox One's multiplayer features. This includes improving the party chat options found on the system along with making it easier to bring up the friend list for a user. The company is also releasing a stereo headset for the console so users will be able to further engage with their games.

Many believe Microsoft is putting these updates in place to coincide with Titanfall, which is set to launch on March 11. By making sure the Xbox One is more multiplayer friendly, the multiplayer-only Titanfall has the best chance to succeed and be the killer app that most fans expects it to be.
