After nine seasons and over 200 episodes, CBS' hit comedy sitcom "How I Met Your Mother" will finally come to an end late next month.

According to TV Guide, the March 31 series finale is titled "Last Forever" and, like many, HIMYM episodes, will sway through time.

"We're a very time-jumpy show, so you will see a lot of the future and where everyone is in the end," said show co-creator Craig Thomas.  When asked if the end will be past the year 2030, he said "Well, that is the future!," with a wink.

The show runner also teased that it was recently decided that the last line will be given to "someone you don't expect -- maybe someone you haven't even met yet," reports TV Guide. Other aspects of the finale have been decided years ago.

Not only will the HIMYM finale go out with an hour-long bang, but CBS is also reportedly asking for half a million dollars from advertisers who to fill in a handful of open slots for 30-second commercials, Variety.com reports.

In the next all-new episode of the popular series, titled "Rally," the gang will try to help Barney recover after he wakes up on the morning of his wedding with a major hangover. Ray Wise will also make a guest appearance playing Robin's father and add to the madness as Barney tries to recoup from his drunken stupor, notes CarterMatt.

CBS issued a press release giving a synopsis of the upcoming episode that reads: "When Barney suffers from the world's worst hangover the morning of his wedding, the gang tries to figure out the far-fetched ingredients to concoct the Stinson Hangover Fixer Elixir."

The HIMYM creators also unveiled more info about what's ahead in "Rally" in a Reddit AMA session in which Thomas stated that fans can expect to see a lot of flash-forwards.

"[We] will see more and more flash-forwards in the remaining 8 episodes. There's an episode called "RALLY" coming up in a few weeks where we do a whole bunch - everyone gets a flash forward peek into the near and far future," Thomas said.

"Rally" is set to air on Monday, Feb. 24 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
