Batman: Arkham Origins will not receive a patch to fix gameplay bugs and errors that have plagued the game, as WB Games is focused on the DLC for the game instead.

Fans have complained about bugs in the game's programming ever since the game was first launched on Oct. 25, 2013, but the developer has not addressed these issues at all. Now, WB Games has released a statement on the game's official forums highlighting the fact that the development team is focused on other aspects of the game.

"The team is currently working hard on the upcoming story DLC," said a community manager for WB Games, "and there currently are no plans for releasing another patch to address the issues that have been reported on the forums."

"If we do move forward with creating a new patch, it will try to address the progression blocking bugs for players," the post continues, "not the minor glitches that do not prevent one from continuing to play. The issues that are not progression blockers will unfortunately no longer be addressed."

However, in a different forum thread, WB Games stated that the PC version of the game may have a patch on the way that addresses Deathstroke's Quick Fire Neural Pellets and Quick Fire Proximity Bomb not working with PC mouse/keyboard.

This is huge news for owners of the game, as they now have confirmation that the game will not see an improvement of gameplay quality despite some pretty glaring issues that have appeared since the game's launch. Most notably, some Xbox 360 users have reported a bug in the game that corrupts user save files and erases any progress. Without a patch to fix these errors, fans cannot expect any relief from bugs found in the game and WB Games could lose some support over their disregard for these errors in favor of creating DLC for the game.

Batman: Arkham Origins was already in some hot water with fans concerning the game's DLC even before this announcement. When the season pass DLC content was announced, many fans were upset that there were many different costume packs for the game, but not much gameplay content. WB Games then announced that the Wii U version of the game would not be receiving any DLC, despite the company offering a season pass for Wii U owners. These users are reportedly going to be compensated for the cancellation of the DLC on that console.
