Part of the beauty of fashion week is the production aspect. They may not be as legendary as a 1970s Halston show, but interesting things are still being put forward. And day 3 will bring more of that.

What you missed:

Danielle Snyder and Jodie Snyder Morel, of jewelry brand Dannijo, staged an elaborate presentation. The duo recently got into boxing and attended the American Ballet Theatre opening gala, and then, combined the two in a collection entitled "Ballerina." According to Fashionista, Snyder said, "We've always loved this idea of combining two opposing forces that seemingly have nothing to do with one another, and we wanted to find a way to bring the collection to life. It sort of popped in our head, the idea of 'Boxerina' - combining the tough and rough elements of boxing and the beautiful, softer elements of ballet."

Google Glass, which have been spotted on the always fashionable Nina Garcia before, has now teamed up with Womens Wear Daily. The WWD team is using the device to record videos. "Through the use of Glass and the Google+ Auto Awesome Photos feature, editors can have a unique way to capture their backstage experience this [NYFW], said Bette Ann Schlossberg, G+Lifestyle partnerships manager.

Cynthia Rowley shot her lookbook before NYFW, and is throwing a grand party to celebrate. She's over the runway format, and was quoted as saying, "We're in a creative industry that's supposed to be reinventing things and exciting and new, so why do they send a girl walking down a runway over and over? It seriously makes me mad!"

What's coming up:

Speaking of putting on a show, the Alexander Wang collection will be presented today. He is not one to disappoint, and there's no indication that this season will be any different. Actually, the show's invitations gave directions on how to reach the Brooklyn Navy Yard and what transportation to use - Uber, ferry, charter buses. Anyone who puts that much attention to detail and changes it up so drastically for the fashion crowd has to have something up his or her sleever.

Lastly, today is also Ostwald Helgason's turn to shine. While it won't be a flashy presentation (if history is any indication), the clothes will be worth checking out.
