On the latest installment of "Beauty and the Beast," Vincent and Cat reconnected while Tori met her demise.
In "Recipe for Disaster," the gang throws J.T. (Austin Basis) a party for ostensibly winning an academic grant. Tori (Amber Skye Noyes) is even in attendance at the event, but she could not feel more out of place.
At the party, Vincent (Jay Ryan) and Catherine (Kristen Kreuk) have an important conversation about the state of their relationship, in which they decide that they can be friends. It's very apparent that Vincent regrets their friend status, which is only intensified when he opens up about his problems with Tori.
It then turns out, to J.T.'s disbelief, that he did not win the grant after all; it was all a hoax created by villain Frank Darnell. Darnell used the idea to lure J.T. to his underground lair to force him to recreate the Muirfield "beast" serum.
Back at the party, Tess (Nina Lisandrello) figures out that something wrong, and she has a hunch that J.T. has been kidnapped.
While Vincent and the others try to plan a rescue, Tori tries to redeem herself by tracking J.T. Tori finds him, and makes Darnell believe that she J.T.'s only beast associate so he will not suspect that Vincent is on his way.
Vincent and the gang eventually show up to save J.T. and Tori, but Darnell has already put the beast collar on Tori and drained her blood. An ailing Tori confesses her fears to Vincent, which are more about losing him than losing her own life. She sadly tells him, "I should've known, you belong with Catherine."
Vincent then goes into beast mode to go after Darnell, but Cat shoots Darnell first.
Tori is presumed dead as she is carried away in an ambulance.
Afterwards, Cat tells Vincent that she's been more drawn to the intrigue of beasts because of her family connections.
J.T. also tells Vincent that he was the one who signed him up for the Muirfield experiments, but Vincent takes the news in stride. It's also revealed that the mysterious prisoner character, Sam (Tom Everett Scott) is Agent Landon's (Elisabeth Rohm) lost husband, and they have a touching reunion.
But despite the reconnection between Cat and Vincent, Cat decides to move forward with her relationship with Gabe (Sendhil Ramamurthy).
In the next episode, "Till Death," "In an effort to track down Sam's captor, Vincent and Cat have to work together on Valentine's Day, which forces Cat to evaluate whether she wants to be in a relationship with Gabe. Nina Lisandrello also stars."
While Sam is free from captivity, he is not yet out of harm's way. Cat, Tess and Vincent will therefore provide security at Sam and FBI Agent Landon's vow renewal ceremony, which happens to be on Valentine's Day. Cat and Vincent are not too comfortable with spending the romantic holiday together, as evidenced in this clip from the upcoming episode.
