After last week's episode of "Almost Human," Fox aired an intense sneak preview of what to expect in next Monday's all-new episode, which is titled "Perception."

In the upcoming episode, Det. Kennex and Dorian will investigate the sudden deaths of two genetically-enhanced, or "chrome," children who died within minutes of each other in separate locations. Their simultaneous deaths appears to have been caused by a fatal dose of a lethal substance that Det. Kennex describes as "the ultimate designer drug" in a promo video.

As the investigation begins to unfold, it will then take an unexpected turn after a recent drowning victim is mysteriously linked to the case. In the meantime, Det. Kennex will endure painful flashes from the past and, subsequently, pay a visit to the recollectionist, reports ComicBook.

Although the sci-fi crime drama has been doing well, the Cancellation Bear predicts that the new Fox series is "likely to be canceled." Its 2014 ratings haven't been bad, but the lack of additional episodes ordered, plus the fact that "Bones" is slated to move back to Mondays at 8 p.m. starting March 10 are strong inidcators that the series could soon be coming to an end, reports Zap It 2. Fans claiming it was always intended to be a 13 episode "limited series," like "Sleepy Hollow," may just be engaging in wishful thinking.

The "Perception" episode of "Almost Human," S1E10 will air on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014 at 8 p.m. on FOX.
