The Sacramento Kings made big moves earlier in the season, and the team is not done tweaking their roster yet, reports indicated on Wednesday.

Basketball Insiders reported that the Kings are expected to be very active before the Feb. 20 trade deadline, with sources saying that the team will shop both Jimmer Fredette and Marcus Thornton.

The Kings will reportedly look to package Fredette and Thornton in hopes of acquiring a high-caliber player who can make an immediate impact on the team this season.

However, sources added that teams look uninterested in Sacramento's trade assets. Fredette has seen limited playing time this season, averaging just 5.8 points in 11.4 minutes per game, while Thornton is tallying 8.4 points per game this year, lower than his 12.7-point average last season.

"The Kings continue to be active in trade talks. The two most mentioned names are guards Marcus Thornton and Jimmer Fredette. Combined they become an interesting salary cap value that could return a major salary player. The problem is there does not seem to be a whole lot of interest in either player," Basketball Insiders noted.

Previous rumors indicated that the Kings are interested in acquiring veteran point guard Andre Miller, who is being shopped by the Denver Nuggets, but no deal is imminent at this point.

Meanwhile, aside from trading assets before the deadline, the Kings are also expected to assess the future of Rudy Gay with the team.

Gay, who was acquired by the Kings in a blockbuster deal with the Toronto Raptors earlier this season, could opt out of his contract and become a free agent after the season.

The Kings view Gay as one of their cornerstones moving forward, and the team is expected to lock him up for the next few years. When asked about whether or not he will test free agency this summer, Gay said that he is not thinking about it yet, but added that the Kings organization has been great to him this season.

"I'm not sure. I have to go into the summer with my people, think about everything, weigh out the pros and cons. I don't know yet. But Sacramento's been great to me thus far. Obviously I'm trying to tune it all out right now. All I can think about right now is how great Sacramento's been to me," Gay said in an ESPN interview.
