Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have been engaged since December (at least publicly), and details of their upcoming wedding have already started to emerge.

The pair plan to wed in a private ceremony on Depp's private island in the Bahamas, in what's described as a small ceremony.

"They're having a small intimate ceremony barefoot on the beach in Little Hall's Pond Cay," said a source to the Daily Star newspaper. "Afterwards, they'll have a barbecue where some of Johnny's musicians pals are going to perform, followed by limbo dancing."

Not much is known about the relationship between 27-year-old Heard and 50-year-old Depp, so this would be in keeping with their reserved nature.

"Neither Johnny nor Amber want a big, glitzy Hollywood bash. They are both very private," the source added.

Heard once broke up with Depp because she wanted to be single, but according to Daily Mail, he was determined to win her back. They flew to his island in the Bahamas, and have been back together since.

The couple met on the set of the 2011 film "The Rum Diary," but didn't start dating until 2012, after Depp's relationship with his girlfriend of 14 years, Vanessa Paradis, ended.

In a 2010 interview with Extra, Depp explained that he never needed "a piece of paper" because "marriage is really from soul to soul." He later told Rolling Stone that, "Relationships are very difficult... It wasn't easy on her. It wasn't easy on me. It wasn't easy on the kids."

Depp and Paradis have two children, Jack, 11, and Lily Rose, 14, who has a beach named after her on Depp's island. The island was purchased in 2004 for $3.6 million. It's 45 acres and has six beaches.

He told Vanity Fair that the Lily-Rose Beach is one of his favorites, "I don't think I ever seen any place so pure and beautiful. You can feel your pulse rate drop about 20 beats. It's instant freedom."
