The Cleveland Cavaliers are expected to become active on trade front in the coming weeks before the Feb. 20 deadline and reports on Wednesday indicated again that the team will shop Dion Waiters.

Basketball Insiders noted that the Cavaliers are becoming desperate to make moves that would cover up for the negative publicity about their team last week, particularly when veteran forward Luol Deng labeled the team a "mess" allegedly because of the turmoil inside their locker room.

Sources said that the Cavaliers are becoming more open to parting ways with sophomore guard Dion Waiters and seldom-used forward Alonzo Gee. It is no secret that Waiters has a tumultuous relationship with star point guard Kyrie Irving—which could be enough reason for the Cavs to consider moving him before the deadline.

"The two names mentioned most around the league are second year guard Dion Waiters and veteran forward Alonzo Gee. Waiters and lead guard Kyrie Irving has not meshed well together and the Cavs seem to be accepting that moving Waiters has to happen," Basketball Insiders noted.

Sources also named the Milwaukee Bucks as the most likely landing spot of the 22-year-old shooting guard, who is averaging 14.2 points on 41.6 percent shooting from the field this season.

The Bucks will reportedly shop for a point guard before the deadline, but they are also expected to be in the mix for Waiters. However, sources added that Bucks are concerned with the Waiters' rumored attitude problem.

"Point guard has been mentioned as a need the Bucks are trying to fill for the long-term and the Bucks could be one of the teams on the move for Dion Waiters; although there continues to be talk that the Milwaukee is steering clear of "bad attitude" players, which might red-flag Waiters," Basketball Insiders noted.

Previous reports indicated that the Cavaliers offered the former Syracuse standout to the New York Knicks in a deal involving Iman Shumpert, but the Knicks turned down the offer.

The Los Angeles Lakers also allegedly asked for Waiters during their failed negotiation for a trade center on Andrew Bynum earlier this month.

The Lakers could revisit the talks about acquiring the 2012 fourth-overall pick, but it looks like they don't currently have enough assets to entice the Cavaliers.
