Manny Pacquiao promised to show his aggressive, brutal self when he takes on WBO Welterweight champion Timothy Bradley for the second time on April 12 at MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas, Nev.
After roughly two years of waiting, Pacquiao has finally come face-to-face with the man who defeated him and wrested his WBO Welterweight championship belt via split decision, a result which was widely criticized by a number of boxing pundits and aficionados.
During a press conference, Pacquiao vowed to give his all in his second bout with Bradley, stressing that he's going to unload a barrage of punches towards the undefeated American fighter.
"I am still faster than Bradley. The only way Bradley can beat me this time is to knock me out. I will be the aggressor . I will throw a lot of punches at him - more than I threw against [Brandon] Rios - and I will land them," Pacquiao said, according to Boxing News 24.
The former pound-for-pound king even warned Bradley that he's not going to be nice this time around as he looks to finally exact his revenge.
"Last time I was too nice. This time, I will finish what I start," added Pacquiao, who will reportedly earn $20 million in guaranteed prize money while Bradley will pocket $6 million in the bout.
Man on a Mission
Despite his warning, Pacquiao said he's aware of Bradley's transformation into a well-rounded fighter following his sensational wins against Ruslan Provodnikov and Juan Manuel Marquez.
"He is a different fighter now since we fought,' he added. 'He has more experience at this level and as a welterweight champion. He fought extremely well against Márquez. I knew Tim would beat him utilizing his speed, but I am still faster than Bradley," Pacman said.
Still, Pacquiao believes that aside from his advantage in speed and power, his desire to prove he's the best boxing will catapult him to victory at fight night.
Meanwhile, Bradley said he's ready for the big fight as he believes he's hungrier than Pacquiao for the win. Bradley added that Pacquiao only fights for money and has already lost his killer instinct.
"This is all about redemption," he said. "I need Manny; he needs me. I'm going to beat him again. I am younger and a better fighter. Manny fights for the money, I have the hunger to win," Bradley said via Daily Mail.
"I don't think he has the hunger anymore and it's never coming back. He no longer has his killer instinct," he added.
